When launching a WordPress website live, it is an important step in the process to replace all old urls from staging. Better Search and Replace is our go-to plugin to handle this transition. Right from the WordPress dashboard you can search and replace components of the database. Better Search and Replace comes with the following features:
- Serialization support for all tables
- The ability to select specific tables
- The ability to run a “dry run” to see how many fields will be updated
To install this plugin:
- Go to the plugins tab in the backend of your WordPress website
- Search for “Better Search and Replace”
- Install and activation the plugin
- Under tools on the left sidebar, select “Better Search and Replace”
- Begin search and replacing
